Itinerario dei Muri Dipinti

A Cannes il cinema si può vivere tutto l’anno. Grazie al Festival Internazionale del Cinema che si tiene a maggio, la città dispone di un vero e proprio museo all’aperto da ammirare in ogni stagione. Cannes è costellata di suggestivi murales, ispirati alle grandi star del cinema, che possono costituire un itinerario originale per conoscere la città in modo diverso.

Potete iniziare il vostro itinerario dal Boulevard d’Alsace, dietro la stazione ferroviaria: al numero 16 è dipinta Marylin Monroe. Proseguendo verso nord-est, al numero 9 di rue Louis Braille, si può vedere Harold Lloyd – uno dei più grandi attori del cinema muto – che cerca di fermare il tempo aggrappandosi alla lancetta di un enorme orologio. A poche parallele del Boulevard de la République, si trova il murale dedicato alle auto delle star del cinema, da Bonnie e Clyde a Batman e Starsky & Hutch. Nella stessa strada si trova anche il quadro più romantico, che rappresenta i baci di famosi film. Tornando al centro, in Place du 18 juin, si trova l’affresco “Le 7e Art”, dedicato ai cinema di Cannes.

Parco Residence Champfleuri 

Se avete la fortuna di visitare Cannes nelle giornate del patrimonio, ecco un luogo a 10 minuti dall’Hotel Simone da non perdere assolutamente ! 

Il parco e il giardini, che si estendono lungo avenue du Roi-Albert I e avenue de la Favorite a Cannes, avevano originariamente una superificie di 1,3 ettari. Tuttavia, oggi, con l’acquisizione dei terreni di villa Magali, l’area è aumentata a 2,5 ettari. Celebre soprattutto per la varietà dei suoi straordinari giardini in stile giapponese, francese, italiano, provenzale, olandese e moresco, il parco e i suoi giardini sono considerati monumenti storici e sono hanno inoltre ottenuto la denominazione di « Patrimoine du XX siècle ». Un giardino messicano e due piscine completano il complesso insieme alla costruzione dell’edificio. La residenza è privata e chiusa al pubblico, ma i giardini sono accessibili durante le Giornate del Patrimonio. Nel giardino giapponese, inoltre, vennero girati molti film ; tra queti, « Macao, l’inferno del gioco » di Jean Delannoy. 

La villa Champleuri appartiene al patrimonio balneare di Cannes, circondato da un parco e dai giardini tematici. La villa in stile eclettico, risalente al 1880, fu fatta costruire dallo scozzese James Bland, dove vi mori nel 1884. Successivamente, nel 1925, si stabili da Marino Vagliano, il quale acquisto il terreno di Villa Magali. Nel 1961 Etienne e Basile Vagliano vendettero la proprietà alla società immobiliare Champfleuri. La villa è stata sostituita nel 1964 da un edificio e da due piscine. Si sono conservati solo gli ornamenti del muro di cinta e del giardino.

Museum of the Iron Mask and the Royal Fort

On the first island of Lérins, the island of Sainte-Marguerite, the museum of the Iron Mask and the Royal Fort is located on the oldest part of the Vauban-type Royal Fort.

You can visit the old state prisons and the famous cell of the Iron Mask where the mysterious prisoner was incarcerated for eleven years.

On the upper floor you can see the underwater archaeological material from the Roman wrecks and the fragments of wall paintings found during the land excavations on the island of Sainte-Marguerite.

This museum is therefore a must-see place that will immerse you between mystery and history! 

The Museum of Explorations du Monde

The museum of Explorations du Monde, formerly museum of the Castre, located on the heights of the historical district of Cannes, offers you a travel in the heart of the Primitive Art, the Orientalism and the Antiquities.

The museum presents collections of Mediterranean archaeology and Primitive Arts. In particular, an exceptional collection of world musical instruments to admire in the Sainte-Anne Chapel.

The Park of La Croix des Gardes
